Joining the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in early 1979, retiring in mid 2013, Corbin Wagner’s professional performing career has spanned more than 45 years and has included performances around the world.  He performed for over 30 years with the Detroit Chamber Winds. Equally passionate about education, Wagner has been teaching horn at the college level for over 35 years, serving on the faculty of Michigan State University since 2012, Wagner has established a strong studio, with students assuming positions in public schools and professional ensembles, including the top US military bands, regional orchestras, and local orchestras.  Wagner has given master classes to over 40 university music schools, sharing his insights and sharing the value of an education at MSU. Wagner has recorded two CDs for horn, soprano, and piano under the name of the Wagner Trio. Over his career, he has been recorded on almost 100 cd’s and albums. He is currently the principal horn of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, MI, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, MI, and the fourth horn of the Peninsula Music Festival, WI.
